Sarah Baker is Assistant Professor of the Practice of Hebrew at Duke University, where she directs the Modern Hebrew program in the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. She has a PhD in Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures (with a specialty in Hebrew Bible/Ancient Near East) from the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to developing Biblical Hebrew curricula for UT Austin, Ridley College (Australia), and eTeacher Group (Israel), she has served in administrative, editorial, and instructional roles for organizations such as the National Association of Professors of Hebrew and the Institute for Biblical Languages and Translation.
